Due to the limitations of current semiconductor light-emitting diode chip technology, the photoelectric conversion power of lamp poles, lamp holders, lanterns, and LEDs needs to be improved, especially the high-power LEDs used in holiday lights, which release about 60% of their electrical energy as heat due to their high power. With the development of semiconductor technology, the photoelectric conversion power will gradually increase. This requires customers to do a good job in heat dissipation when applying high-power holiday lights to ensure the normal operation of high-power LED holiday lights.

1. The requirements for heat dissipation fins for light saving light sources.

Appearance and raw materials: If the sealing requirements of the product are not high, direct convection may occur with the external air environment. It is more recommended to use aluminum or copper heat sinks.

2. Useful heat dissipation surface area of lamp poles and lamp holders:

Regarding holiday lights, 1W high-power LED white light (other colors are basically the same), heat sinks are usually used for heat dissipation, with a total surface area of ≥ 50 square centimeters. For 3W products, it is recommended that the effective heat dissipation surface area of the radiator be ≥ 150 square centimeters. According to the conditions and experimental results, higher power will be added. Try to ensure that the temperature of the radiator does not exceed 60 ° C.

3. Holiday light source LED high-power connection method:

When connecting the high-power LED substrate of the holiday light to the heat sink, please ensure that the touch surfaces on both sides are flat, making the two touch surfaces more snug. It is recommended to apply a layer of thermal conductive silicone grease to the bottom of the holiday lamp base plate or the surface of the heat sink to conduct heat. It is necessary to evenly apply silicone grease and then fix it with screws.
